I know Hong Kong have these posts beside traffic lights as well, where you press the button if you want to cross the street, but this is the first time i saw this...

See the bottom note? You can tap a special card (maybe a senior citizen card...will research if disabled people have special cards too) to have a longer pedestrian walking time!!!
